Roofe Gets A Helping Hand As Leeds Secure A Point Against Forest

|

Saturday’s late Championship kickoff saw Leeds United host Nottingham Forest at Elland Road and many believed the game would could be a cracker.

Victory for Leeds would put them back at the top of the second tier table and victory for Forest would see them end the weekend in the Play-Off spots, so it was all to play for.

The visitors took the lead through Jack Robinson in the eleventh minute of the game, but again Leeds utterly dominated matters and their goal was the only effort on target from three overall. We had 71% of the possession, 18 chances overall but disappointingly only three between the sticks.

Kemar Roofe’s leveller inside of the final ten minutes of the match was nothing more than we deserved though, even if it did come off his arm – sometimes you need the luck and in my mind that settles off the ridiculous Brentford decision so whilst Nottingham Forest fans will somewhat be aggrieved (any maybe rightly as I don’t have the benefit yet of replays), it’s about time something went for us.
