There’s plenty going on at Elland Road at this moment in time following our Championship Play-Off Semi-Final heartbreak, not only are fans waiting for positive news on the future of manager Marcelo Bielsa but attentions have also turned to the summer transfer window with incomings and outgoings on our minds. One potential incoming could be Portsmouth striker Jamal Lowe.
The 24-year-old striker made the switch to Fratton Park back in the January 2017 window and he had a fantastic 2018/19 campaign in League One, scoring 17 times and providing eight assists across their season as they also fell at the Play-Off Semi-Final stage to Sunderland.
Leeds have now been claimed to have an interest in signing the player along with Cardiff City and Wigan Athletic having allegedly registered their own interest in him. The report seems to stem from a claim by Sky Sports and the speculation only intensifies owing to the fact he’s got 12 months left on his contract, so the expectation is Portsmouth will cash in and would accept in the realms of £2million.
Despite the speculation Portsmouth have so far denied receiving a concrete offer.
I can’t claim to have seen a lot of the lad, but plenty of fans are excited.
If Leeds are to sell Clarke I would £10mil & Marcus Edwards or £15mil at least & use some of the money to bring in Chris Willock & Jamal Lowe #lufc

If Portsmouth's Jamal Lowe is available for as little as £2million and we don't get him we'll have missed out on a right steal #lufc

Instead of going after Lowe, let’s just give Wilks a chance! Had a similar season statistically in a lesser team, and obviously won’t cost anything! #lufc

If we actually manage to sign Jamal Lowe for £2,000,000 that’ll mean Ekuban has effectively paid for him, unreal business #lufc

Think Lowe or O’dowda, 2 Loans and a Experienced signing could be enough if we keep hold all of the first team squad we want. #LUFC

I’d defo take a punt on Jamal Lowe at Portsmouth #lufc
