Loads of Leeds United fans have been reacting on social media, after an FA panel agreed with referee Tony Harrington and upheld Cardiff City captain Sean Morrison’s sending off, according to BBC Sport.
Morrison was shown a straight red card late into our Championship encounter with the Bluebirds at Elland Road on Saturday, when the 28-year-old centre-half clattered into on-loan Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah with a late challenge.
The incident occurred while the visitors were still chasing an equalising goal, and came at a moment Nketiah could have broken free into the Cardiff penalty area to put the game to rest with Neil Harris’ men struggling to get back.
Harris was adamant after the game that the incident was not worthy of a straight sending off, but has seen his side’s appeal rejected and will now be without Morrison for the South Wales outfit’s next three games.
Cardiff visit promotion-hopefuls Preston North End on Saturday, before facing Millwall on Boxing Day and rounding out the year with a trip to Sheffield Wednesday.
Our draw at the weekend allowed West Bromwich Albion to regain the top-spot in the Championship by two-points, after Slaven Bilic’s Baggies beat Birmingham City 3-2.
West Brom host fellow promotion contenders Brentford at the weekend as the Bees look to solidify their place in the Play-Off places, while we travel to Fulham as they strive to snap a three-game losing streak.
Here are some of the messages shared as Leeds fans reacted to Morrison’s three-game ban being upheld…

Can Leeds appeal for the points from the game?

Was a sending off all day long. He should get an extra game for bothering to appeal.

How did they even have the nerve to appeal it? Disgusting immoral club.

At first I thought the studs up challenge aimed at Eddie’s ankles was worthy of sending off, but then I saw the state of his moustache, and that alone is worthy of a 12 match ban.
