You can all sleep easy tonight folks, it’s finally happened.

Having been linked with joining Leeds United for what seems like an eternity, Helder Costa has finally made his move from Molineux to Elland Road. He initially joins on a one-year loan, but that will become permanent next summer. Kind of like Kylian Mbappe when he moved from Monaco to Paris Saint-Germain. Not that I’m making any direct comparisons between the two players abilities – yet.

The whole thing could have been announced a lot sooner, but the Leeds United social media team took the opportunity to have some fun with the transfer, dragging the news out just that few extra minutes before making the big reveal. Although that was probably more as a nod to one notorious Leeds supporter in particular, rather than the whole fan base.

Naturally, Leeds fans were overjoyed at the news that the deal had finally gone through. Whilst, as always there was that one person that seem to find a negative spin on these stories, the overwhelming majority kept the negativity away. They took to Twitter and they just couldn’t contain themselves. Some went with a simple message, whereas others were a little bit more creative.

  • Let’s see if the dirty Leeds scum dummies are so happy during the season, Costa is/ was a great player “before” his injury, if any of them have half a brain then they should ask this question – if he is has good as we think he is why are the Wolves letting him go with the amount of matches they could be playing?
No doubt he has quality but has I said that was before his injury!
