Leeds United kicked off the Championship action this weekend against Sheffield United but it was not a game to remember in the end.
This was always going to be a big game in the race for promotion and, at the same time, for local bragging rights with it being the Yorkshire derby.
United – of the Sheffield variety – proved the victors, though, on what was a tough, close game between the two sides.
Certainly, we had plenty of opportunities to take the three points but our finishing was well below where it needs to be, and that needs to be improved.
A 1-0 loss thanks to Chris Basham’s goal for them, then, and now it’s time to look at the reaction to the result…

Casilla being sent off, Jansson playing up front and in goal whilst on one leg and us dropping out of the top two certainly wasn't how I had hoped today would go. #lufc

Personally, I didn’t think that we were that bad and on another day we’d have won the game.
We’ve plenty of chances to still reel the top two in, too, so let’s not lose control just yet.
