At the Leaders in Sport conference, Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani revealed that he has promised the players a trip to Las Vegas if they can manage to secure promotion to the Premier League in the season of 2018/19.

With the November international break in full flow, Leeds’ luck with injuries remains intact as we’ve now lost on-loan Chelsea goalkeeper Jamal Blackman to a broken tibia so plenty of fans will think rather than a free holiday to motivate the players, there should be more focus on ensuring we can actually put a team out in the remaining months of the season given our lengthy injury list.

In any event, quoted by Sky Sports recently from the event, Radrizzani explained.

“If it happens we all go to Vegas with the players, I promised them. All the team, I promised them.”

With a good start to the season despite the number of injuries we’ve had to contend with, fans will be hoping we can get back to winning ways when we welcome Bristol City to Elland Road when the international lull comes to an end.

How long before the EFL demand an explanation for this one given it doesn’t form part of the standard player contract ala Accrington Stanley and burger-gate.
