Our first defeat of the season came about last night as we lost to Preston in the Carabao Cup 2nd round at Elland Road.

It would have been nice to have gone far in the competition but, at the same time, I am not too fussed that we haven’t because it does allow us to rest players a bit more.

Anyway, speaking after the game, Preston manager Alex Neil has suggested that the best way for stopping our way of playing is to press back and adopt the same method.

As per Phil Hay, he said:

Certainly, it appeared to work last night but both sides were much-changed so I don’t think you can read too much into things.

Of course, other sides might not try and adopt the approach but with our first team it will be different and you’d be a brave side to try it against us.
