We’ve not had the busiest of windows so far but there are signs that things are going to pick up in the coming days so we needn’t worry just yet.
Certainly, it’s clear we’re going to have a more streamlined squad than we did last season with Marcelo Bielsa happy to make significant changes and it’ll be interesting to see how we handle the rigours of the second tier.
With that in mind, we’re looking particularly strong in goal with both Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Jamal Blackman at the club.
One of Bielsa’s first big calls, then, is to decide who is number 1 will be for the Stoke game and, if it was me, the right decision would be to go with Blackman.
I really like BPF and want him to succeed and kick on for our club but I just think Blackman is that bit better.
Surely, too, we’ll have guaranteed him minutes as he wouldn’t have come from Chelsea otherwise and I can’t see that not being the case once we come to facing Stoke in just over a week from now.
