*On this day in 1987, Leeds lost a five-goal thriller in the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City at Hillsborough. Second Division Leeds, who were led by Billy Bremner, eventually lost 3-2 in extra-time and David Rennie and Keith Edwards had scored for Leeds in normal time.
