Dear me, the season can’t just end now, can it?
It’s been truly awful the last few weeks and loss after loss has surely meant that Paul Heckingbottom is now going to leave the club.
I was all for giving him the time but I am not so sure now and I think it might be best that he is let go.
We’ve seen no improvement under him and though the players have to be to blame for much of this season, he looks out of his depth increasingly.
I could see him going soon, then, and Right in the Gary Kellys on Twitter has asked whether we’d take TC back. Let’s look at the reaction:
Anyone else miss this top bloke? That smile, those salty one liners, helping us avoid relegation #lufc pic.twitter.com/AuJZXoWbqm

Not to mention a genuinely lovely guy, I'd give anything to have him back. What happened to giving him the whole season no matter what?

Had a bad spell towards the end of his tenure but if you gave me a choice now between him and heck then I'd have him back in a heartbeat #heckout

No, he was out of his depth as well!

No

Was the correct decision to sack him….but plenty of time for him

Nope, he was garbage, just like Heckingbottom.

Not a bit.

Poor manager, nice bloke.

The Verdict
For me, though I liked TC, I also wouldn’t take him back.
He was sacked for a reason and I think we now need to go for an experienced manager – assuming that Heck is let go.
Mick McCarthy would be my choice, then, especially with him now out of a job.
