Leeds United have been flying high in the Championship this season and returned to the summit of the table after a 1-0 victory over Bolton at the weekend.
The win away from home was the club’s fifth league victory in a row and things have progressed superbly under the leadership of Marcelo Bielsa – which is a stark contrast to one of the club’s arch-rivals, who sacked their manager on Tuesday.
Manchester United have struggled for consistency across all competitions this season and, following a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield, a decision was made to relieve the Portuguese boss of his duties with the Red Devils.
That led to a vast amount of reactions on social media and Leeds supporters were amongst the many that shared their thoughts on the situation, with some stating they are enjoying the decline that the club has endured in recent years.
We have gathered some of their comments below.
They’ve ruined what Fergie built and it’s brilliant.

✍️ Dear #LUFC fans who have been in touch,
❌ We appreciate all contacts, we will however have to politely decline your requests for odds on Dave Hockaday to replace Jose Mourinho as #MUFC manager.

Mourinho now available. Interesting. Could be an excellent right hand man for Bielsa. Has experience all over the world. Surely worth a punt? #lufc
