On Monday evening Carlos Corberan’s Under 23 side were back in Professional Development League action in a home clash against Ipswich Town.
The 90 minutes were a proverbial dead rubber in reality as we’ve already been confirmed as the north section winners for the campaign of 2018/19 with games to spare given the fantastic form of our youngsters, but there was every reason to celebrate another positive 3-0 victory for our next generation this week.
Goals came from Clarke Odour, Gaetano Berardi and the ever-reliable Ryan Edmondson (who has come in for significant praise of late).
Starting XI:
Miazek, Gotts, Berardi (Struijk 35), McCalmont, Davis, Oduor, Hosannah, Stevens (Clarke 45), Forshaw (Shackleton 35), Edmondson, Brown.
Subs: Male, Temenuzhkov.
Venue: Elland Road
With plenty of positives once again, albeit most eyes on our seniors now and the Premier League Cup campaign at this level, now 19-year-old winger, Odour deserves his moment in the sun as the Kenyan youngster hit a cracker to open the scoring on the day.

Plays as a wing back if am correct, has stepped up very well this season. A couple of loan deals and will be ready for the first team.
