News: Leeds face a battle to hold onto dynamic duo with Premier League giant targeting a move

|

A report has emerged in the Sun, which claims that both Kalvin Phillips and Ben White will be targeted by Leeds’ bitter rivals Manchester United.

The Red Devils have checked on the progress of Phillips all season and are said to be hugely impressed by what they have seen from the 23-year-old.

Phillips was the subject of a series of bids from Aston Villa, but all were rejected, and instead, the Leeds-born man signed a new four-year deal to remain at Elland Road.

Of course, if the Whites don’t get promoted, then expect to see him leave next summer, and a move to Manchester United would be hard to turn down.

However, the way the Whites are going, they may well finally be back in the top-flight next season – which should see Phillips remain at Elland Road for at least one more year.

The other player United want to sign is White – the on-loan Brighton man has played every match for Leeds this season.

He has put in numerous calm and composed displays that have drawn the attention of Liverpool and now Manchester United.

Many Leeds fans would love to sign White permanently, but that will depend on if they are promoted or not.

It is hard to see the 22-year-old going back to Brighton, but will he remain at Elland Road?

Both Phillips and White look a class above the Championship, and they will be playing Premier League football soon – whether that be with or without Leeds.

Who is the better player?

Phillips

White

Certainly, this interest from Man U makes everything more interesting.
