Many Leeds United fans were quick to criticise midfielder Helder Costa following the Whites’ 2-0 defeat to Cardiff City on Sunday.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side had a forgettable return to Championship action as they slumped to a dismal loss at the Cardiff City Stadium, as they were unable to extend their lead at the top of the table.
Junior Hoilett and Robert Glatzel scored either side of half-time to ensure that the hosts kept their Playoff hopes alive.

Costa was one of the players that was called out by the Elland Road faithful, who is currently on loan at Leeds from the Premier League side Wolves.
With this in mind, Sofascore revealed a different story regarding the Portuguese midfielder’s performance. From the 77 minutes that the 26-year-old played, he managed to complete four key passes, win three ground duels out of 4 and had a pass success rate of 89%. His match rating of 7.5 was higher than any other Whites player.
Despite this, supporters were not impressed with his display and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he “needs to buck his ideas up”, while another described his outing as “wishy-washy”.
