“My Player Of The Year” – Forshaw’s Massive Praise For “Absolutely Fantastic” Leeds Star

With Leeds United midfielder Adam Forshaw continuing to work his way back to full fitness following the long term injury that has kept him out of contention since the end of September, the 28-year-old has recently lavished huge praise on Northern Ireland international colleague Stuart Dallas – describing him as a modern day Championship James Milner.

Speaking to Colin Murray’s 52 Podcast this week, Forshaw said the versatile player was clearly a managers dream on the pitch as he just goes about whatever job he’s asked to do with energy and determination.

“He would be my Player of Year all day. He will play anywhere on the pitch for you and he is a manager’s dream. He will run through a brick wall for you. He deserves this break and needs to be recognised for what he does. I call him the Championship’s James Milner. He’s absolutely fantastic.”

Having played in both fullback positions this year as well as central midfield again, he’s become an easy go-to for Marcelo Bielsa and he’s certainly taken the praise and the plaudits from fans this season as he stepped up his performance levels and consistency on the pitch.

The reference to fan favourite James Milner is a very good one in fact, and I can’t see many fans disagreeing on that front.
