Four more players have joined Leeds on a trial basis, hoping to secure permanent contracts with the club.

Goalkeeper Darren Ward was called upon during the win at Nottingham Forest after Neil Sullivan went off injured. The 32-year-old was at Norwich last season but wasn’t offered a contract at the end of the campaign. Following Ian Bennett`s departure to Sheffield United, Blackwell has been left short in that department.

Leeds have extended the trial of German defender Roland Benschneider. The former Cologne man spent last week training with Leeds, and featured in Mondays 1-1 draw with Grimsby.

Also to feature was 33-year-old French defender Jerome Bonnissel and former Sheffield United utility man Carl Asaba.

Bonnissel is back in the UK after previously playing for Rangers and Fulham.
