Leeds final first team game of pre-season ended in a 1-1 draw at Grimsby, however with many of the first team missing, boss Kevin Blackwell used the game to look at fringe players and trialists.

The Whites boss handed debuts to trialist goalkeeper Darren Ward and former Sheffield United man Carl Asaba.

Foreign trialists Jerome Bonnissel and Roland Benschneider also featured for Leeds.

John McDermott put the home side ahead after nine minutes after Leeds failed to clear their lines.

United equalised after the break with Eddie Lewis scoring from a Frazer Richardson cross.
