Jeremy Simpson is the man in charge of the clash between Leeds United and Sunderland today. 

The Lancashire official has taken charge of 36 games so far this season showing 146 yellow cards and 8 reds.

His last game in charge was the 1-1 draw between Brentford and Sheffield United on the 30th March where he sent off a player from each side.

He has taken charge of Leeds on three occasions already this season. He was in charge of their 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest in August.

Simpson has been to Elland Road twice this season. He was in charge of the 1-0 home defeat by Reading in October as well as the goalless draw with Nottingham Forest on New Year’s Day.

He has been in charge of Sunderland on two previous occasions this season. He was in charge of the 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough in November and the 0-0 draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers in December in a game where he sent off Sunderland midfielder Lee Catermole.
