2007
The first league meeting between Leeds United and Huddersfield since 1987 has been moved back a day on the advice of the Police.

The game originally set for Monday 24th March will now take place on Tuesday 25th March 2008, kick off 1945.


York City have announced that the pre-season game against Leeds United has been moved from its original date to Friday 13th July, kick off at 7:45pm.

The club have made the change due to a clash with a race meeting at York racecourse.

2008
Leeds opening day trip to Scunthorpe United will kick off at the earlier time 12 noon on the advice of the Police.

The Police also intervene at Peterborough and the game on October 4th will also kick off at 12 noon.

2010
Leeds United striker Tresor Kandol is set to sign for fellow Championship side Scunthorpe United.

Kandol will join the Iron, when the transfer window re opens on July 1st according to reports.

Kandol was one of four players told to actively try and find another club at the end of last season by manager Simon Grayson.

2011
Whilst most players are enjoying their summer holidays Leeds midfielder Ramon Nunez is still hard at work representing Honduras in the Gold Cup in America .

The tournament is for national sides in North and South America as well as the Caribbean.

2012
Leeds United have agreed a deal with Norwich City to sign defender Adam Drury on July 1st.

The experienced defender helped Norwich to back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premier League in recent seasons and he made 12 Premier League appearances last season in their first season back in the top flight.

The 33 year old has been at Carrow Road since 2001 making over 350 appearances for the canaries.

Drury will become Warnock`s second signing of the summer having already signed centre back Jason Pearce from Portsmouth in May.

2013
Leeds will face Brighton and Hove Albion at home on the opening day of the championship season after the fixtures are released.

2014
Leeds United have confirmed the appointment of David Hockaday as the new head coach.

The 56-year-old former Forest Green Rovers boss has signed a two-year deal at Elland Road.

Hockaday will bring a wealth of coaching experience to Leeds having worked at Southampton, Watford and MK Dons previously.

Hockaday replaces Brian McDermott who departed the club at the end of May.


Leeds United look set to have their accounts unfrozen after paying the money they owed to Sports Capital.

Owner Massimo Cellino lost a winding up order served against the club by Sports Capital last week and Cellino was given until Monday June 23rd to pay the £950,000 owed to Sports Capital, plus interest.

Leeds have had their accounts frozen for the last month and they were once again unable to pay the players at the end of last month. The club also stopped taking card transactions for season tickets as the merchant service provider was keeping the money.

The club will now return to court on Monday where they hope that the payment of the debt to Sports Capital will unfreeze their bank account and bring an end to the winding up petition.

Lewis Walters has signed his new one-year deal with Leeds United at Thorp Arch today.
