*On this day in 2009, Leeds were beaten 2-0 at Hereford United in League One with on loan Lee Trundle also missing a penalty for Leeds.

Manager Simon Grayson, who had been in charge of the club less than two-months, read the riot act to his team after the game locking them in the dressing room for an hour after the final whistle.

It proved a pivotal point in the season for Leeds who lost just one of their final fifteen games of the season to reach the play-offs, where they suffered their usual heartache against Millwall in the semi-final.
