I made the trip to Hillsborough to witness Leeds disappointing defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

Leeds started brightly before being beaten 3-0 in what was another disappointing away performance.

I give my view on the performance of the players in the defeat.

Wiedwald 2
I didn`t want to jump on the bandwagon that has slated him since the first game of the season but he is not showing any sign of improving.

I think he has now had enough opportunities to show he is up for the challenge but he isn`t.

He was very poor for the first goal when he came out with a whimper when he should have come charging out. He couldn`t do much with either the second or third goals but everything about him lacks confidence.

Ayling 5
He hasn`t been at his usual high standards for the past few games.

Pennington 5
He made a couple of decent blocks.

Jansson 5
He also made one decent block but he lost Hooper for the second goal when he switched off.

Berardi 4
He was given a torrid time by Ross Wallace.

O`Kane 4
He was left isolated in midfield. A shocking pass out of defence, which led to the third goal.

Phillips 3
He started well but he seemed to drift forward leaving a huge hole in midfield and Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan enjoyed the freedom of Hillsborough.

His poor performance was epitomised when he took out Jansson and the pair of them were injured.

Saiz 7 Star Man
He was the one bright light on a poor performance. One mesmerising run should have led to an opener for Alioski but the winger headed weakly wide.

Lasogga 6
He worked hard all afternoon. He should have scored early in the second half and it could have been a totally different game had it gone in.

Roofe 3
He disappeared in the game once we went behind.

Alioski 4
He missed a great chance early on with a weak header and the early season hard work of tracking back and helping his defence seems to have disappeared.

Subs

Hernandez 5

He tried to get involved moving Leeds forward.

Sacko 4
Like usual, many chances to do something but poor choices resulted in the move breaking down.

Dallas
He was brought on late on to play at full-back following the injury to Jansson.

Summary
A bright start to the game but once we went behind, the performance dropped dramatically.

The defence is in disarray but they are getting no protection from the midfield.

Thomas Christiansen needs to sort this out quickly and he`s got the international break now to sort it out.

It will be very interesting to see who starts the Reading game when we return from the break. He really needs to drop the keeper and bring in Andy Lonergan for starters.
