Vital Leeds United contributor Oyper gives us his view of the performance against Reading.

Oyper scores the players following the disappointing 1-0 defeat to Reading at Elland Road.

Lonergan 6
His Distribution was very poor. He did not have a lot to do but he made one great save. Is he any better than Felix?

Berardi 5
Did is defending down the left adequately, but he struggled to get forward with any purpose.

Jansson 5
He is not the same player as last season. Where is the do or die spirit?

Cooper 5
He didn`t have a lot to do as there was very little pressure on the defence.

Ayling 5
His passing was poor, defending was very weak and like the rest of the team, he was well under par.

O`Kane 6
I couldn’t believe how deep he was playing. At times, he was like the third centre back and we were at home. He had no help and outlet for most of the game.

Phillips 5
He tried to get forward but left O`Kane isolated. I think he should have come deeper to pick up the ball. He never jelled with O`Kane.

Hernandez 5.
On the plus side, he did try to get on the ball, but far too many times his passing fell short or was completely mistimed, and the penalty kick, well I have a 9 year-old grandson who would have shown more gusto. I don’t know how he can keep his place in the side.

Saiz 6 Star man
He struggled to get in the game in the first half. He was better in the second half but he still didn’t do enough. It was the type of game you would expect him to have a free and commanding role.

Roofe 5
The odd lay off and holding the ball up but like Hernandez, another player we were carrying.

Lasogga 5
He had very little service and he was limited to one weak headed attempt.. He is a big lad so he must try to impose himself on defenders.

Subs
Sacko 6

He replaced Roofe and it did seem to pick up the tempo. I think that’s because Roofe was so poor.

Dallas 5
He made no impact on the game.

Summary
Boring , boring, boring. On this performance it was like going back to a couple
of seasons ago,

Christiansen never changed tactics or gameplay and we looked very naïve.

I think we all knew how Reading would play but we still couldn’t come up with anything to pressure them.

I apologise for the poor review, but it was that poor.
