Vital Leeds United contributor Tiny T gives us his usual fan view from the game at Elland Road.

His first view comes after the first game of 2018 against Nottingham Forest that ended in a disappointing goalless draw.

Wiedwald 6
A competent display.

Ayling 6
He did well enough until his injury.

Jansson 7
Jansson was good defensively and he nearly got us the lead from a header.

Cooper 7
Cooper was solid like his central defensive partner.

Berardi 7
He made some crunching tackles. I would have left him at left back when Ayling got injured.

O’Kane 7
O`Kane was at the thick of the action.

Phillips 5
He was not on his game.

Alioski 4
Stay on your feet. A little lightweight when the going gets tough.

Saiz 7 Star man
All good things usually come from Samu.

Hernandez 5
He should have scored. His dead balls were not up to his usual high standard.

Roofe 6
Roofe hit the bar and he should have done better with other chances that were wasted.

Subs
Anita 5

He looked uncomfortable at left back.

Lasogga 5
A couple of chances but he lacks movement.

Summary
A game we should have taken the 3 points. We were wasteful when the chances came. Some very inventive play at times with some good one touch plays but in the final third, we were poor.

Plenty of times, we had a chance to create but wanted to over complicate things and the chance went.

Defensively we gave very little away. Cooper`s terrific challenge in the first half showed his commitment to the cause.

Overall, this was two points lost with results going our way.

The FA Cup is up next for the lucky few to get a ticket. Enjoy your day on Sunday, I will hopefully be tuned in to BBC Wales, though not with the sound on.

A word finally on the standard and quality of referees. I personally think this is dropping. A player is booked for pulling back then later he does the same offence. It is another booking and a red card. It is what should have happened to Lichaj in the second half but the referee bottled it.
