I made the trip to Griffin Park to watch Leeds disappointing defeat to Brentford.

Leeds lost 2-0 to Brentford to inflict a second defeat on Leeds in the space of four days.

Green 7 Star Man
He was unlucky with both goals after he made really good saves only for Brentford to score from the follow up. Without him, it could easily have been four or five.

Ayling 5
He was given a torrid time in the first half as he was given no protection or help by Mo Barrow in front of him.

Bartley 5
A lot of wayward passes and he was looking at sixes and sevens in the centre of the Leeds defence.

Jansson 5
It was good to see him back but he struggled and looked off the pace.

Berardi 6
He tried to get Leeds going forward down the Leeds left but he was having to deal with the Brentford winger, who stayed forward.

Bridcutt 6
A decent first half, when he was given little help in the middle, but he disappeared in the second half.

Phillips 5
Always trying but he lacks quality. Far too many wayward passes.

Hernandez 5
Some decent balls into the middle from set pieces but he goes missing when the going gets tough.

Wood 5
He had little to feed off all evening.

Dallas 5
He was lively in the first half and he got in some good positions but was then wasteful.

Barrow 2
He had a shocking first half when he did absolutely nothing going forward or to help Ayling, who was regularly faced with two players. He improved after the break and he had a couple of good chances but he cannot play in the Championship. He doesn`t look up for the battle.

Subs

Pedraza 7

A vast improvement when he came on. Twice he got in behind the Brentford defence but then chose the wrong option.

Roofe 4
He had a good chance near the end but saw his effort go just wide.

Doukara 4
He did nothing to influence the game.

Summary
It was a disappointing defeat. We actually looked much better than we did at Reading as we played with more pace and passed the ball around well as Brentford gave us space. To me it just looked like a matter of time before Brentford got in as they overran us every time they came forward. Mo Barrow should have been subbed in the first half for me. He spent most of the game stood in the old inside-right position doing absolutely nothing to help the defence or make an impact going forward.

Brentford had two big lads at the back who gave Chris Wood no space. Teams know, they stop Wood and they stop us.

We must beat Preston on Saturday. The pack is closing in and we really cannot afford another defeat with Newcastle next up after Preston.
