Leeds United have lost out in their bid to sign midfielder Keith Andrews.

The 30 year old has decided not to join Leeds after negotiations with the club, stating better options lay elsewhere at this moment in time, according to his agent.

Leeds were hoping to bring in the Republic of Ireland international on a season long loan but Andrews feels he can develop better at another club.

Will Salthouse, Andrews agent said in the Yorkshire Evening Post , “Keith won`t be coming to Leeds.
“Leeds are still interested (in the future), but he just feels there`s an opportunity somewhere else and at this moment in time, it`s the best opportunity for him.
“They may be a change in the future, but at the moment, he won`t be coming.
“There have been seven or eight of the top Championship clubs interested in him and the decision has been made on the fact that he`s found the club where he`s comfortable and feels he can develop again.”

He`s the latest player this summer to chose somewhere else rather than come to Leeds.

Leeds have made just three signings so far this summer, two of them goalkeepers as they aim to beat last seasons seventh place finish.
