Leeds entertained Stockport County hoping to move a step closer to guaranteeing their play off spot.

Leeds stuck with the same side that drew in midweek at Leyton Orient.

Leeds took the lead in the opening ten minutes when Howson was able to tap in from close range.

Ankergren was forced into a good save soon afterwards saving a shot with his legs.

Dickinson nearly doubled the lead but his shot hit the crossbar, Becchio followed up and his effort was turned around the post for a corner.

Another chance fell to Leeds soon afterwards when Naylor`s header was cleared off the line.

Snodgrass chanced his arm with a free kick which had Logan in the Stockport goal scrambling across his line, unfortunately for Snodgrass it went just wide of the post.

Neil Kilkenny was next to go close, his effort just going wide of the post.

Leeds went in only one nil up after dominating the first half.

Luciano Becchio was replaced soon into the second half by Andy Robinson after failing to recover fully from a knock he took in the first half.

Robinson made an impact after his arrival, firstly shooting over the bar and then striking the cross bar.

With Leeds only one goal in front Stockport pressed for an equaliser and Ankergren had to be alert to snuff out a County attack.

Michael Raynes missed a great chance to equalise but shot straight at Ankergren.

The final whistle went to the relief in the end of Leeds, they now move another step closer to guaranteeing a play off spot.

Next up is a trip to top of the table Leicester City on Monday lunch time, a game that can be seen live on Sky for those not going.
