LUFC Leeds Fans View v Wolves

Tiny T gives us usual fans view of the Leeds performance at Elland Road and he starts with the excellent win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday

Kenny 7

He competently dealt with a poor Wolves attack, though he was well protected. A great ball to McCormack for the opening goal.

Byram 7
Stunning League debut, occasionally beaten by Jarvis for pace but the lad did well.

Peltier 7
Strong in the tackle and in the air, snuffed out the Wolves attack.

Pearce 8

He marshalled the defence well in a strong display. Like Peltier, stopped Wolves from getting any real chances.

White 7
Solid defensively but needed to get forward in support more often

Varney 6
Should have made it 2-0 but dithered too long, a little off the pace going forward.

Austin 7
Solid, Robust and not afraid to get stuck in, got us going forward.

Norris 8 Star man
Good all round display, covered a lot of ground and used the ball well.

Green 7
Lively until injury forced him off.

McCormack 7
Lively and his cross for the opener was a stunner. Worked hard when we lost the ball as well

Becchio 7
A Well-taken goal. The usual Becchio performance, hard working in attack and in defence towards the end.

Subs
Diouf 7

Intelligent use of the ball and a good touch, knew how to run the clock down at the end.

Lees 6
Solid as with the rest of the defence
Summary
A good all round team performance. We were solid defensively and inventive going forward, more of the same please.

We made Wolves look laboured in approach and comfortably dealt with the Wolves strike force, no wonder they came down.

The defence and midfield worked as a unit and Austin is a beast in the tackle.

I liked the look of young Byram who never let the side down and it shows Warnock`s confidence in him when he took off McCormack to introduce Lees. Would Grayson have even started him, NO.

I for one am confident of at least a playoff place this season but it is early days
