Vital Leeds United contributor Oyper made the trip to Elland Road on Saturday to witness the clash against Ipswich Town.

He gives his view of the performance after the 3-2 win that keeps Leeds at the top of the table.

Wiedwald 6
once again he didn`t have a lot to do but still a big question mark hanging over him. You can’t blame him for their first, more of a defending mistake, but a poor push out save gifted them with their second goal. His kicking & distribution at times was below par.

Anita 7
A good solid performance, he does seem to struggle in aerial challenges. I noticed when he was subbed he walked straight down the tunnel. Hopefully it is not an injury.

Cooper 7
Becoming captain reliable, no matter who he partners in defence, he continues to do the job.

Shaughnessy 7
What a revelation this young man is becoming, and what a through ball for Lasogga to go on and score.

Ayling 7
Wind him up and of he goes, the man never stops.

Phillips 8 star man
A great goal and he worked hard to get on the end of the flick on from Saiz. He did a lot of the unglamorous dirty work.

O`Kane 7
I thought he had a mixed game. In and out of the game and he, never took full control.

Hernandez 6
I thought he got lost in the game. He will not get a tackle in and in my opinion we carry him in this type of game.

Saiz 7
The man oozes class. He had a couple of good chances. He was a little unfortunate not to stick one away, and a great work rate.

Alioski 7
He never stopped and ran Phillips close to star man. He worked hard on the defensive side.

Lasogga 7
Long quiet periods, but if this fella gets anywhere near the goal, he’s going to score. A very good work rate.

Subs
Berardi 7

A fans favourite. He came on replacing Anita and he slotted in like he’d never been away.

Dallas 7
He came on replacing Hernandez for the last 20 minutes, doing a steady job down the left.

Grot
He was not on long enough to mark.

Summary

Two well taken goals and a lucky own goal gave us the three points,

It was more of a team effort rather than any individual performance.

We had to battle hard but when we break forward we look like we can score at every attempt and I thought we deserved the win.

I hope it’s put to bed the myth that we can’t compete with physical sides.
