Defender Patrick Kisnorbo has returned for pre season training with Leeds United.

Kisnorbo is out of contract at Elland Road and is hoping to show enough in pre season to earn a new deal after missing over a year through injury.

The Australian international suffered an Achilles injury against Millwall in March 2010 that required surgery and forced him to miss the run in to Leeds promotion and also the World Cup in South Africa.

The 30 year old returned for the final game of the season at Queens Park Rangers when he came off the bench late on in the game.

Kisnorbo has spent the break re-habilitating in Australia and boss Simon Grayson is looking forward to seeing what he can do. Speaking on the official website , Grayson said, “It`s good to see Paddy working with the lads after doing his re-hab. As I`ve said before, he`s had a tough time, but he`s looking to come through pre-season unscathed and get into games with us now.”

The clubs player of the year in his first season at Elland Road has been linked with a move to fellow championship side Crystal Palace over the weekend.

Hopefully Kisnorbo can show he`s back to full fitness during pre-season and earn a new deal.
