Simon Grayson expects Leeds midfielder Neil Kilkenny to be back in action sooner rather than later.

Kilkenny suffered a reoccurrence of the ankle injury he sustained in the Play off semi final against Millwall last season last Thursday.

Speaking in the YEP Grayson said ‘Killa rocked his ankle on Thursday when we had a practice match. He’s had an injection and needs to rest it for four or five days. It’s nothing major.’

The Australian international became an integral part of the Leeds United midfield in the second half of last season which as seen him being linked this summer with Premiership club Fulham and Championship side Doncaster Rovers.

Grayson expects Kilkenny to be back in training at the end of the Ireland tour.
