Tresor Kandol says that he can only gain from his current situation at Elland Road.

Speaking on the official website Kandol said “I`ve nothing to lose. I came back to the club during the summer, everyone knows the situation, and you think ‘well, I`m going to enjoy myself and work on my fitness.”

The Congolese striker looked to be on his way out of Elland Road after spending the whole of the 2008/09 season on loan at Millwall and Charlton Athletic.

When he returned after the summer break he struggled to find a way into boss Simon Grayson`s plans and was sent out with the second XI, scoring in his first pre season game at Wealdstone.

He`s firmly put himself back into the frame for a first start in the league for Leeds since the last day of the 2007/08 season with some good performances in the reserves.

Kandol got a first start of the season for the club in the recent Johnstone`s Paint Trophy success over Darlington, where he scored the second goal before having to be substituted at half time due to a sickness bug.

Continuing, Kandol said “I just want to do well and do myself justice, I really feel I have nothing to lose”.

Kandol scored two goals for the reserves in midweek to take his tally to six goals in four games this season, and he is now firmly in Grayson`s plans for Monday`s televised clash with Norwich.
