Tresor Kandol continues to press his claims for a first team place with another two goals for the reserves on Tuesday night.

Kandol who spent the whole of last season on loan at Millwall and Charlton Athletic looked to be on his way out of Elland Road over the summer.

The Congolese international made his first start for Leeds recently since May 2008 in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy win over Darlington, he scored the second goal before being substituted at half time with a stomach bug.

With Luciano Becchio likely to be sidelined for the live Sky game on Monday against Norwich City, Kandol once again enhanced his chances for a first league start.

The 28 year old was replaced just past the hour after suffering a knock to the leg.

Also suffering an injury for the reserves was midfielder Andy Robinson who limped off with a hamstring injury.

In the game itself, Leeds will be disappointed to have thrown away a 2-0 first half lead against Hartlepool United, Hartlepool equalising in the final few minutes in a 2-2 draw.
