Leeds United are set to receive a larger than usual allocation for their trip to Ipswich Town in January.

Leeds visit Portman Road on Saturday January 13th and Ipswich fans site TWTD say that the clubs season ticket holders that sit in the upper tier of the Cobbold Stand have been advised that they will have to relocate for the visit of Leeds.

Ipswich wrote to season ticket holders during the summer to advise them that there would be certain games during the 2017/18 season where they would have to relocate, as to allow for a larger visiting support. The visit of Leeds is set to be the first game at Portman Road this season where season ticket holders are being asked to relocate.

Leeds, who continue to take a huge travelling support to all away games, are usually allocated 2,150 tickets for the trip to Portman Road, occupying the end two upper tier blocks as well as the lower tier block directly in front. This season, Ipswich plan to give Leeds the all of the upper tier with the exception of Block A and the small premium seats in Block D, taking Leeds allocation to over 3,000 tickets.

Ipswich fans on the site are not happy with the intentions of the club.

so surround the Ipswich supporters in the premium seats with dirty Leeds supporters…that will be fun for them! Glad the board have thought about how to make our highest paying fans feel comfy for 90 minutes!

Hope we charge them £50 a ticket, seen Leeds didn`t take us up on our ticket offer. Think it was £37 at Elland road. Ridiculous price for a championship game.

Another reason we didn’t renew our season tickets. Many clubs allocate away supporters behind the goal (old Churchmans lower for instance). Home supporters upstairs could enter and exit via the practice pitch and let the away supporters exit onto the bus park. Nineteenseventyeight is right. How intimidating is that going to be. Common sense isn’t so common!!

Neither club are yet to confirm ticket details for this game in January.
