Leeds United head coach Paul Heckingbottom says his side must be clinical in both boxes if they are to stand a chance of beating league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Leeds welcome Wolves to Elland Road on Wednesday night and Heckingbottom will be looking for a reaction from his side following the disappointing defeat at Middlesbrough on Friday evening.
Wolves have led the Championship for much of the season and they are six points clear at the top of the league ahead of the midweek fixtures.
Despite the disappointment of their defeat at Middlesbrough, Leeds still hope to make a late push for a play-off place, but they must quickly find the form that saw them in the play-off places at Christmas.
Wolves are the leading goalscorers in the Championship so far this season, along with Fulham, with 49 goals whilst Leeds have already conceded 46 goals this season, just one less than they conceded during the whole of last season and Heckingbottom says his side must take their chances whilst trying to restrict Wolves.
“We have to perform well to stand a chance and we have to be clinical in both boxes,” Heckingbottom told the Leeds official website.
“We need to restrict them as much as we can and any opportunities that we do get, we need to be taking them.”
When the two sides met at Molineux in November, Wolves inflicted Leeds heaviest away defeat of the season, when they defeated Leeds 4-1.
