Leeds United boss Simon Grayson wants his side to start showing more consistency if the club are to make at least the play offs this season.

After three consecutive wins Leeds away day frailties once again surfaced when they was defeated 1-0 at Walsall at the weekend.

Grayson still believes the club have progressed since being instated has Leeds manager before Christmas, since taking charge Leeds have played seven games, winning four, drawing one and losing two.

Leeds main problem before his arrival was the ability to keep clean sheets and win away from home, in those seven games he`s been in charge they have kept two clean sheets and won two out of three of their away games.

Grayson thinks that all the clubs currently in or around the promotion places are playing for second place at best with Leicester City ten points clear of second place, speaking in the YEP Grayson said ‘It’ll be difficult for anyone to catch Leicester now. I think that position is pretty much nailed down but there are plenty of other places for us to go for.
We’ve had a decent run so far and if we finish in the top six then I’ll be more than satisfied, but we want to be finishing in the top two”

Leeds still have to play five of the six teams currently above them in League One so their destination is still very much in their own hands, continuing Grayson said ‘We’ve still got to play all the teams around us and I’m fully aware of what could happen. The situation’s in our hands and that’s how we want it to be, right up until the end of the season”

Leeds next two games could very well have a huge effect on how the rest of the season pans out, first up are fifth placed Millwall at Elland Road next Monday followed by a local derby at Huddersfield Town the following Saturday.
