Leeds United boss Simon Grayson is reaping the rewards from his loan rangers.

Last season Davide Somma burst onto the scene after enjoying a very successful spell on loan at Lincoln City the previous season.

This season, Tom Lees, Adam Clayton and Ramon Nunez are also reaping their rewards after successful loan spells away from Elland Road.

Grayson is delighted by the hard work of these players and is full of credit for the players. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Grayson said, “We`ve signed these players looked at them and thought there is something about them that we like. It`s not necessarily just the last year. I see them every day in training, we see certain things and we thought these kids have something about them.
“We signed them and we sent them out to keep developing, there is no point stagnating in and around the reserves.
“They have worked really hard over the summer and they`ve grasped an opportunity and full credit to them, they have been really good this year.”

Somma scored 9 times in 16 appearances for Lincoln City during his loan spell away from Leeds during the 2009/10 season. He returned to Leeds, he scored twice on his debut for the club against Millwall, and he went on to score 12 goals in total in his first full season.

Lees enjoyed a season long loan at Bury last season and helped the club clinch promotion from League Two. He was an almost ever present in the side and as come back to Leeds and taken his chance since getting into the side as a second half substitute against Bradford.

He`s looked assured in the right full back position and he looks dangerous at the other end and he scored his first goal for the club in last weeks win over Hull City.

Nunez scored 3 times in 8 games for Scunthorpe United at the end of last season.

He impressed during pre season, scoring twice and he has started the season in much the same vain, scoring five times already from just three starts.

Clayton has been a revelation this season in the Leeds midfield. The 22 year old, signed from Manchester City last August, made just four substitute appearances for Leeds last season. He spent much of last season on loan at Peterborough United and then MK Dons.

Clayton was earning rave reviews from Grayson during pre season and he has continued this into the championship season with a number of quality performances. His great start to the season was capped at West Ham on Sunday when he scored his first Leeds goal to earn the side a point in the final minute.
