Leeds United boss Simon Grayson was once again disappointed with the defending after Leeds conceded early in the game and were under pressure for much of the first half against Doncaster Rovers in the Carling Cup.

Andy O`Brien and Paul Connolly returned in the defence for the first time since the first round clash against Bradford City.

Leeds fell behind as early as the third minute when James Hayter put Doncaster ahead.

They then came under serious pressure as the home side could have finished the game of as a contest in the opening half hour with a string of chances.

Grayson speaking on Yorkshire Radio said that they need to do more work with the defence. “We didn`t get to grips with how they started the game with their formation. We know Doncaster are a good footballing team and they try and get players in little pockets and play between the lines and for the first fifteen to twenty minutes we didn`t deal with it.
“We changed the system slightly and got back into it with a great striker from Ramon but we are disappointed after getting off to such a poor start, it`s something we need to sort out.
“It`s something we have to do differently; the players need to do something differently because it`s three away games that we have conceded early which is disappointing.
“The best thing about tonight is we got the result and it didn`t go to extra time.”

Leeds had to thank Ramon Nunez, who scored with two great strikes to fire Leeds into the third round.
