Leeds United boss Simon Grayson is looking to go on another unbeaten run after the disappointment of suffering their first defeat in eight games at Birmingham City on Wednesday night.

Leeds went down to a 1-0 defeat at St Andrews after taking seventeen points from their previous twenty-four.

They welcome Cardiff City to Elland Road on Sunday and face another side looking to be in or around the promotion places in Blackpool on Wednesday night, once again at Elland Road.

Grayson is now hoping to start another unbeaten run, starting with Cardiff.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Grayson said, “The games are coming thick and fast and they come with a lot of quality. We know what to expect and we will recover from the Birmingham game and be ready for Sunday.
“It is an opportunity, we are at home and we`ve got Blackpool on Wednesday night and we would like to get maximum points. It will not be easy but we will certainly approach it in a positive manner and start another run again.”

It was at this stage last season that Leeds started on a twelve game unbeaten run. The run saw them climb to second place in the table for a short time after defeating league leaders Queens Park Rangers in December.

Leeds face Cardiff on Sunday, the side who were the last and first team to beat them during the twelve game unbeaten run, which lasted from late October until the first week of the New Year.
