Leeds United skipper Jonny Howson is focusing on Sunday after the sides unbeaten run ended in midweek.

Birmingham City inflicted the first defeat on Leeds in eight games and Howson is now getting ready for the tough challenge of Cardiff City coming to Elland Road on Sunday.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Howson said, “Even though it was disappointing to lose it makes it good with a game right around the corner on Sunday.
“There`s not too long to dwell on it, even though there were plenty of positives, and we were immediately focused on that with making sure we got the right preparation to recover our legs.
“We`ve had a few games over the last few weeks and we`re getting ready for Sunday now.”

Despite the defeat in midweek, Leeds remain in the play off places in fifth place.
