Simon Grayson again hailed the performance of defender Tom Lees and says he’s be a revelation since getting his chance in the first team.

Lees put through his own goal shortly after Leeds had taken the lead in the first half.

The goal seemed to affect the youngster for the next ten minutes but he soon returned to the calm and assured defender that Leeds fans have been pleased to witness since he made his debut as a substitute against Bradford last week.

Grayson felt sorry Lees and could see the lad was gutted following his error. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio , Grayson, said, “He was gutted when he put it in, we had started the game brightly and they never looked like scoring.
“When the ball was put into the box, Tom lost his bearings slightly but he`s got great composure and a great attitude to football.”

Grayson was also impressed with Lees composure at the other end of the pitch when he had the opportunity to atone for his error. Lees fired Leeds back into the lead with a clinical finish just before half time. “He was very composed when he got the opportunity and I`m delighted for him because he`s been a revelation in the two games that he`s played so far,” Grayson continued.

Lees is reaping the rewards of being given the chance by Grayson. Regular right back Paul Connolly will have a very tough battle to win back his place in the side if the youngster can keep playing at his current standard.
