Leeds United boss Simon Grayson has been hailing the clubs fantastic support and insists they are inspirational.
Grayson, who himself started life by following Leeds from the terraces at Elland Road, cannot praise the fans enough, speaking on the official website, Grayson said, “Our fans are absolutely top drawer. We sell our full allocation wherever we go, and we get great crowds at home.”
Leeds have already sold out their first two allocations for the trips to Nottingham Forest and Watford this season.
The Whites sold out every away allocation last season that included taking over 4,000 fans to Oldham Athletic on a Tuesday night in December.
Leeds also sold over 9,000 tickets for their trip to Old Trafford in January when they defeated old rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup.
“When you have support like we have it acts as an inspiration for everyone to do well,” Grayson continued.
In a time when the country is feeling the pinch in the troublesome economic climate Leeds fans have continued to follow the club in their thousands week in, week out.
They have already sold over 5,000 tickets for the trip to Barnsley in midweek on September 14th and have sold out their allocation of around 3,000 tickets when they travel to Doncaster just three days later.
