Leeds United boss Simon Grayson is confident of holding onto his star players if the club don`t go up this season.

Leeds are handily placed in sixth place in the Championship at the moment, just three points behind the automatic promotion places.

A number of players are enjoying a fantastic run of form this season that has started to alert those clubs already in the Premier League.

Grayson is confident of holding on to these players though, whether they stay in the Championship or gain promotion this season.

Speaking in the Yorkshire Post, Grayson said, “Promotion would help, of course, to secure our best players. But we are not in the position where we have to sell our best players.
“I have said many times that every player has his price but we would not be looking to sell players if we don`t make it into the Premier League this year.
“The players who have done well for us this season realise they can fulfil their ambition at this club. The majority are on long-term contracts and see a successful club in Leeds as better than going to one or two who are already in the Premier League.”

Max Gradel, Kasper Schmeichel and Robert Snodgrass are all getting plenty of attention at the moment and the rumour mill will go into melt down when the season finishes if Leeds fail to gain promotion.

Leeds also have two regular first team players out of contract at the end of the season. Both Bradley Johnson and Neil Kilkenny are already being rumoured with a number of Premier League clubs.
