Tiny T gives us his fans view, this time from the passionless performance against Manchester United in the Carling Cup.

Lonergan 6

Stood little chance with the first two goals but should he have been beaten at his near post for the third?

Lees 5
Steady if unspectacular. He had no help from the man in front, so had a tough time especially in the first half

Bromby 6
Again a steady game.

O’Dea 6
Caught for pace a couple of times but steady.

White 7 Star man
Had a tough time against Valencia and stuck to the task well, got forward when he could.

Snodgrass 3
Missing in action what little he showed.

Howson 6
Covered a lot of ground with no real effect.

Clayton 6
Like Howson covered the ground the odd crunching tackle.

Keogh 4
Tried his best wide left but he’s not a wide man and this proved it.

Becchio 6
Worked hard but little quality to work with.

McCormack 6
As with Becchio nothing to work with.

Substitutes

Forrsell 4

Nothing came his way.

Vayrynen 4
Offside for our best chance to score

Nunez 4
One chance and he put it wide

Summary
The game was over at half time and then it was just a training game for them which was embarrassing.
The team had very little width and both Howson and Clayton kept having to check back with Snoddy and Keogh tucking inside. This is becoming a major problem without width and the ability to get balls of quality into the box we are going to struggle.

What is wrong with Snodgrass his play is largely ineffectual and he seems to stand and watch, does he need time polishing the bench?

The only problem is we have no wide men to bring on unless young Taylor plays at left back and Aidy White plays left midfield.

A note on the fans support, for those who were there plenty of vocal support and I applaud that.

The problem I have is with those who call for ‘ Bates Out ‘, it is detrimental to the team and Bates has said he’s going nowhere soon and anyway whose going to come in.

The Club does belong to the supporters so instead of deriding the club get behind it, its the only way we’ll win.

Looking forward a tricky game on Friday night, away to Brighton and Gus Poyet will be wanting to put one over on us.

This is a game I believe we can win but we cannot afford to carry players any longer so Grayson sort out the wide areas as Becchio and McCormack need quality ball to work off.

Thanks for your views Tiny.
