Vital Leeds contributor Tiny T gives us his usual player ratings from the game at Elland Road.

This time on the back of a 2-0 win over fellow promotion hopefuls Colchester United.

Ankergren 7
Another game where Casper made crucial saves, since the Salford game the most consistent performer.

Bromby 7
Solid stint at the back and got forward.

Naylor 7
His best game for a while, dependable under the high ball and never shirked.

Michalik 7
Got better as the game went on, though for his size needs to win more in the air.

Lowry 7
Good start for the youngster, helped out Michalik early on, shows how much we’ve missed a natural left back

Snodgrass 6
Good delivery from set pieces for a change, needs to deliver earlier when the opportunity presents itself, coming back to his best, but it`s a slow process.

Howson 6
Another who got better as the game progressed, an assist for the second goal, but needs to deliver more in the next game.

Doyle 7 Star man
A tigerish display, always willing to work hard and put in the yards that can change games.

McSheffrey 7
Another who had a good first game and nearly scored, skilful on the ball and will get better with more match time.

Beckford 7
Another two goals, roll on Monday when the window shuts and he’s still here, we need the goals.

Becchio 6
Got lumps kicked out of him all afternoon, but stuck to his task and won the Penalty for the first goal.

Subs

Johnson -6-
Tidy at the back.

Gradel – 6- Mad Max here for good.

Summary

Three points but it could have been different in the first 10 minutes as we looked indecisive at the back. Claims for Penalties waved away but the Colchester forwards spent all afternoon as though they were on the high board at the local baths.

Good starts from the two new lads, with a left footer at left back we have all said this all season. Someone been listening?

Midfield looked more balanced and delivery from set pieces was more varied.

The Referee, I wouldn’t normally say anything but he was probably the worst I’ve seen, hopefully we won’t get him again.
