Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen was pleased with the comeback win at Burton Albion.

Leeds came from a goal down at half time to win 2-1 and continue their push for promotion this season and Christiansen said his side had to keep the belief and the goals would come.

“I`m very pleased for these three points,” Christiansen said after the win at the Pirelli Stadium.

“They were difficult.

“I believed we made a very good first half controlling he game, having opportunities.

“In one situation we get the 1-0 and then we have to react in the second half.

“Trying to believe in what we have done in the first and for sure the goals will come in but we had to suffer too much.”

The win lifted Leeds to within five points of the top two in the division after second placed Cardiff City suffered a second defeat in three days. Bristol City have leapfrogged Cardiff in the division on goal difference whilst fourth placed Derby County were held to a draw at Hull City.

Leeds will now hope to finish 2017 with a win at Birmingham City on Saturday to set them up nicely for a promotion push in 2018 as they look to go at least one place better than their seventh placed finish last season.
