Leeds took the points, but the late goal, which arrived in stoppage time, was hard to take for Lions boss Colin Lee as his side remained bottom of the Championship.

When you’re at the bottom it’s amazing how often you get a kick in the teeth. And Lee was certainly toothless after the own-goal snatched a point from his grasp.

Lee: ‘It’s a cruel game and we deserved better. We thought we had a chance of winning the game at the end. There hadn’t been many chances, but we matched them in every department.

‘The deflection at the end is probably why they are challenging at the top and we are at the bottom.

‘I’m not allowed to say anything about the referee, but we work hard all week for a performance as good as the one I got from the lads, but there were an awful amount of disruptions in the game. It wasn’t allowed to flow and that’s very frustrating.’
