Kevin Blackwell has made secret of the fact he would love to bring Derek Riordan to Elland Road, but he could be pipped at the post by Belgian giants Anderlecht.
Apparently Anderlecht are set for a January-swoop and can obviously dangle the carrot of European football.
The Hibernian star had scouts flocking to Easter Road for Sunday’s 2-1 win over Rangers.
Hibs put the 22-year on the transfer list in the summer after he rejected their offer of a new contract. His current deal expires next October when he could leave the club as a free-agent.
