We may have lost Barry Douglas for the rest of the season through injury, but fans on Twitter have been taking the positives from his debut season at Elland Road in response to his social media update.
Douglas confirmed his season had come to an early end on Twitter, when he shared a post detailing how it was not how he intended his maiden campaign with the Whites to end.
Not how I wanted my season to end but unfortunately for me that’s sometimes football, thanks for all the messages of support I really appreciate them and will use them to help me come back stronger ???????????? pic.twitter.com/uqxMGb7hO9

Unfortunately, scans have revealed the collision with Jed Wallace at the weekend ruptured ligaments in his knee, and he will need two to three months off to recover.
The left-back soldiered on against Millwall, though, as Marcelo Bielsa had already made all three of his substitutions – one of which was to bring Douglas on for Ezgjan Alioski at half-time.
The Boss’ decision paid dividends at first, as he instantly improved the quality on our wings and delivered the cross for Luke Ayling’s much-needed equaliser.
With just seven games still to play, however, Douglas’ necessary recovery period stretches beyond the climax of the Championship season, and we can only hope his five assists play a part in a successful promotion push.
That is the way fans on Twitter are trying to take the news…
gutted as you have been real touch of class for us this season. Speedy recovery and all the best for next season MOT
