Leeds United target wants his future sorted but club has no plans to sell

|

Leeds United may have been claimed to be stepping up their efforts to land Daniel James, but Swansea City have no intentions of selling to the Whites’, according to Wales Online.

It had been reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post that Marcelo Bielsa would be upping his efforts in the coming days to land his number one target now that a deal for Kiko Casilla has been completed.

The Winger himself has even admitted to Wales Online that he would prefer his future sorted sooner rather than later, noting: “I haven’t heard anything yet, but obviously I’ve just got to see if there is an offer on the table.

“I haven’t had one [contract offer] yet, but I’m loving my football here [at Swansea].”

However, the latest word coming out of the Liberty Stadium, according to Wales Online, is that Swansea will not let Leeds’ rumoured interest in the 21-year-old rush the Swans into offering James a new deal that may not suit the club.

At present, James’ contract in South Wales expires in 18 months, but the natural left-midfielder’s impressive performances under Graham Potter is bringing the spotlight firmly on the Wales international.

Wales Online also note that an offer is yet to come in for James by Leeds.
