According to the OneLeeds fan channel Leeds United have submitted a new, improved bid of £34m, in an attempt to blow AC Milan out of the water in the race for the signature of Charles De Ketelaere. The forward was left out of their latest squad and it looks like Club Brugge are waiting to see if Milan can match what Leeds have offered.

Leeds have been tracking the talented forward for some time, even though the player has said he prefers the switch to Italy rather than the Premier League. It looked like the Whites had turned their attention to Paris Saint-Germain forward Arnaud Kalimuendo, but have now reignited their interest in the Belgium International.

It was rumoured that AC Milan wouldn’t match what Leeds were offering, and now with an improved bid, this could force them out of the running, leaving the door open to sign the player. Leeds have long been admirers of CDK and see him as the perfect forward to operate in Jesse Marsch’s system.

It remains to be seen where this transfer will go, but will certainly be fascinating to watch the situation unfold. Leeds have been actively seeking a forward and a left back, and if these two positions are strengthened, then they will look in far better shape going into the season.

What do fans think? Should they still be looking at De Ketelaere or should they move on to other targets? Let us know in the comments.
